Welcome

“Biology is meant for those with a curious mind. When you explore the vast realms of biology you come across something new and unexplored everyday, that makes you question your previous beliefs, and as you progress you realize that as long as you keep asking there will be enormous amounts of information available to you.”

Hello and welcome to my blog. I started writing this blog because I wanted to share my journey and how I fell in love with Biology. I am an undergrad student currently pursuing a degree in Life Sciences and it is because of this particular course that I have been able to learn and appreciate all the facets of biology in depth and understand how this massive living world exists in harmony. 8.7 million different species continue to survive on this earth and biology helped me understand how these came to existence.

“Individuals are not stable things, they are fleeting. Chromosomes too are shuffled into oblivion, like hands of cards soon after they are dealt. But the cards themselves survive the shuffling. The cards are the genes. The genes are not destroyed by crossing-over, they merely change partners and march on. Of course they march on. That is their business. They are the replicators and we are their survival machines. When we have served our purpose we are cast aside. But genes are denizens of geological time: genes are forever.”
― Richard Dawkins, The Selfish Gene

My blog entries are about how I entered the field of biology and my journey into the depths of its complexity. Read on ahead as I share my experiences and how I find biology a fascinating subject.
